<![CDATA[wreakhavoc Blog Posts]]> http://www.newenglandpatriotsnews.com/wreakhavoc/weblog/ <![CDATA[Time for a change]]> http://www.newenglandpatriotsnews.com/wreakhavoc/weblog/4504/time-for-a-change.html http://www.newenglandpatriotsnews.com/wreakhavoc/weblog/4504/time-for-a-change.html Sat, 04 Oct 2008 21:58:53 PDT The time has come for a change to take place.  Going into last year's SuperBowl I wanted the Pats to win not because they would have a "perfect" season but, so they could move on and look to add much needed youth.  Bruschi, Vrabel, and Harrison could have retired and let some younger players fill their roles.  The loss to the Giants affected last season as well as this one.  Now the "older" players have stuck around trying one more time to get another "ring" and they seem to be doing more harm than good.  Before the season started I actually wanted the Pats to tank the season so they could get high draft picks and retool the defense.  There's no way they'll be able to keep up with the Chargers, Colts, or Jaguars in the post season if they're fortunate to make it that far.  So here's to next season hopefully younger and quicker.
