LB Victor Hobson- I thought he would had been starting. Instead he's fighting for a job. He did good, but not great against the Giants. One game probably won't be enough to put him over, but a veteran player that understands what he's doing night in and night out is the kind of player head coach Bill Belichick would value to provide depth.

I wonder if those guys feel the same way about LB Victor Hobson, SS Tank Williams, or TE Marcus Pollard.
With a team as good as the Pats, they don't shop for clearance free agents. All the free agents have a chance to earn a roster spot and maybe even start. They are not here for the sake of resting veterans. OT Anthony Clement can make Nick Kaczur expendable.

Going into the 2003 NFL Draft, I was a fan of University of Michigan linebacker Victor Hobson. The man was a tackling machine for the Wolverines and one of their best defenders since corner back Charles Woodson.
