He's just too talented to give up on after just two years.

LB Victor Hobson- I thought he would had been starting. Instead he's fighting for a job. He did good, but not great against the Giants. One game probably won't be enough to put him over, but a veteran player that understands what he's doing night in and night out is the kind of player head coach Bill Belichick would value to provide depth.

I thought Eric Alexander had his best game against the Eagles. he and Victor Hobson will help each other playing together while likely competing for the same roster spot. It's possible Shawn Crable could make Pierre Woods expendable.

ave a good track history of developing corners.

I wonder if those guys feel the same way about LB Victor Hobson, SS Tank Williams, or TE Marcus Pollard.

With a team as good as the Pats, they don't shop for clearance free agents. All the free agents have a chance to earn a roster spot and maybe even start. They are not here for the sake of resting veterans. OT Anthony Clement can make Nick Kaczur expendable.

ebacker and the age of the remaining LBs, the Patriots aggressively addressed the problem by adding Victor Hobson from the hated New York Jets and three more in the draft. On top of that, New England played free agent signee strong safety Tank Williams at linebacker sometimes during the recent passing camp.

Going into the 2003 NFL Draft, I was a fan of University of Michigan linebacker Victor Hobson. The man was a tackling machine for the Wolverines and one of their best defenders since corner back Charles Woodson.
