caught people off guard is also included in the negotiations is Ohio State defensive end/linebacker Vernon Gholston. Noone considers Gholston one of the best players in the draft. Heck, Virginia's Chris Long, a defensive end/linebacker hybrid like Gholston, is rated as a better player than Gholston. And depending on who you ask, Gholston is either a borderline top-five player or is overrated. Why are the Dolphins showing interest in the Buckeye?

And with the seventh pick overall NE is in position to draft Ohio State's Vernon Gholston if Oakland and the New York Jets pass on the Buckeye. He would become a rush linebacker and likely spend his rookie year learning the intricacies of the defense while playing a situational role during passing downs.

Brohm had a much better supporting cast around him.

Also, they rate Ohio State DE Vernon Gholston as a second round pick. Just about everyone else disagreed, and Gholston's performance at the NFL Combine improved his stock.
