Thomas Jones

tle worse in the Chargers playoff loss, maybe that's why they signed him first? Wait, what?

FWIW Thomas Jones came in with a season ranking of -11.3, so maybe LT2 really actually was an upgrade?

The Jets recently cut RB Thomas Jones to save money. New York says they want to re-sign him, but New England should swoop in and steal him away. I’d like him better than Fred Taylor because Jones is younger (31 to Taylor’s 34) and Thomas has been more durable. He missed just three games since 2004 to Taylor’s 22 games. I’m also concerned about the aging backfield, with Laurence Maroney the only RB younger than 30. Taylor and Sammy Morris (four last year, 17 since signing with the Pats in 2007) both missed games. Because the coaching staff won’t utilize BenJarvus Green-Ellis, he isn’t part of the conversation.

Well fans another Bears season has come to an end with no postseason play. Although The season wasn't a total loss, there are some issues that need to be resolved. However it is now time to prepare for the monotonous routine of off-season chaos. The owner's meetings start next month, followed by the rookie combine, and then the draft is right around the corner. plus we must not forget the free agency calamity that ultimately finds out who has the deepest pockets.

The crystal ball had a mediocre performance this past week, going a mere 2-2.  We’re not sure what happened, but this is not acceptable.  The crystal ball took its lumps on the Cowboys game, but it may have been predicting with its heart rather than its fortune-telling powers?  Either way, that puts the crystal ball at 33-26-1 for the season.  That’s seven games over .500 (.558 to be exact).  Hopefully the crystal ball will perform better in the playoffs!  Let’s take a look back, and review what happened last week.

Besides the Dolphins' Brown, the Jets' Thomas Jones broke free for 70 yards on just 17 carries.

Gore, besides being tough to bring down, is a shifty runner, able to beat defenders one-on-one in the open field after breaking through the line. He's averaging 4.9 yards per carry behind a offensive line that averages 318 pounds.

nitely don't have the depth to match the Packers' corps.

How about keeping the defense honest? RB Thomas Jones is productive, but will turn 30 in a week. And Leon Washington is just a change of pace back. He's not built to be a workhorse. At least they picked up Jesse Chatman as a free agent. But again it's advantage Green Bay, as they have Ryan Grant, Brandon Jackson, and Vernand Morrency to move the chains.
