2009, round three – Iowa RB Shonn Greene surprisingly was still available after two rounds, and New England had the ninth pick to start the day. But the Jets pulled the trigger on a trade with Detroit to move up to the first pick in the round and selected Greene.

I’ve looked at a few mocks that project at least two rounds and they all say Iowa RB Shonn Greene will be available. It wouldn’t take the whole five minutes to make the thick ball carrier the selection. OK,everybody can go home now.

I'm still on the Shonn Greene tip (a little more on him later).
Taylor would be a significant upgrade over the oft-injured LaMont Jordan. I wouldn't expect Taylor's impact to be equal to Corey Dillion when the Pats traded with Cincinnati back in 2004. But adding Taylor to the rotation with Sammy Morris, BenJarvis Green-Ellis, and Lawrence Maroney (maybe) would create a stacked backfield that could improve on the sixth best rushing attack.
