p 53, I can imagine the four players I dream would be the Pats’ selections: 

Texas LB Sergio Kindle

 

After watching him in the National Championship game against Alabama, I was sold on his talent. It also helps that he’s following in the footsteps of DE Brian Orakpo. Washington drafted Orakpo last year and he had eleven sacks. I hope Kindle is that good as a pro. But he would have to get by Miami, which lost both starting OLBs in Joey Porter and Jason Taylor, and Tennessee.

DE/LB Sergio Kindle

 

He’s been compared to his former teammate Brian Orakpo, who was drafted in the first round by Washington. The results: Eleven sacks. After watching Kindle’s performance in the National Championship game, I do believe he has potential equal to Orakpo. Kindle is on my wish list.

e role like Derrick Burgess as a pass rush specialist? 

Looking to the draft, I expect both Sergio Kindle and Brandon Graham by the time the Pats select at 22. I’ve seen one mock draft saying the Pats select Clemson DE Ricky Sapp. Based on one video I’ve seen of him, I hope not. I hold defenders from Clemson in high regards, but that one reel I saw made Sapp look like a player playing in space and doing nothing. I’ll look for more on him, but if nothing changes my mind, I can see the Patriots selecting Florida DE Carlos Dunlap and going for an OLB-type in the second round and/or later.
