Most of the rookies might already be in attendance, but training camp doesn't officially begin until the veterans show up on Thursday. In anticipation, I spoke with FootballOutsiders.com creator Aaron Schatz and got his take on what to look for during camp:

The stats say New England quarterbacks were sacked just 18 times, a fantastic number that is slightly over one sack per game. But memory paints a different picture. 2. It’s a little embarrassing that the Patriots couldn’t force a Carolina turnover even though the Panthers are near the top in turnovers lost. It’s doubly-embarrassing that New England turned the ball over three times to the Panthers. The icing on the cake was the eight dropped passes by the offense.

Sebastian Vollmer: Sometimes I think Belichick just does it to mess with us. There were two times in the first two rounds where a pick was made and the mock draft-wielding experts didn't have a graphics package prepared.
