Sam Aiken

3 August 2010

Matt Slater and Sam Aiken, as effective special teamers, have extra value to the team.

And with three talented tight ends on the roster, the Patriots might sacrifice a wide out to keep veteran Alge Crumpler and rookie Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez.

Tough day for the receivers: four drops, two interceptions came off of the receiver's hands. Sam Aiken had it particularly hard as he dropped two, failed to come back on one route and was knocked out of the game in the fourth quarter.

The first step would be to start WR Sam Aiken

No big deal? Yeah, maybe. But this wrinkle could help the passing game along.

It’s a bad sign of a lack of potential at the position.

Two Points – Sam Aiken won’t get on the field with the offense often, but he did shine; LB Paris Lenon might had done enough to earn a roster spot as he played inside.
