1. DT Vince Wilfork was in beast mode all afternoon. Six tackles and a sack doesn’t begin to explain his influence on the game. Wilfork had at three tackles for a loss and his share of pressure on QB Joe Flacco. It was a dominant performance by a team leader showing what it takes to get to a Super Bowl. It was arguably Wilfork’s best game in the biggest game of the year.

So would this be before Los Angeles gets a franchise or will Oakland owner Al Davis thumb his nose at the league again and trump Commissioner Roger Goodell by moving the Raiders and cashing in on the British pound? Davis would really make out on the exchange rate.

I wasn't convinced until Orthwein sold the team to Robert Kraft. That day was a huge relief to me because I could stop worrying that my team would be moved. It would had been especially painful because New England was finally showing signs of becoming respectable after their worst three-year run.

When his career is done, Patriots owner Robert Kraft should make the phone call to bring McGinest back home. Whether or not Belichick felt McGinest was past his prime when Bill decided not to re-sign Willie, that doesn't matter. Hopefully it will be bygones for McGinest.
