Ray Lewis

24 January 2012

Brady was hit in the lower back by Ravens LB Ray Lewis as Brady went heels over head. High price to pay, but Brady would give up the body again in a heartbeat.

4. RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis scored New England’s first touchdown on a seven yard run. After the score Green-Ellis pointed to the MHK patch on the jersey, a tribute to Myra H. Kraft, the wife of owner Bob Kraft who died last year after a battle with cancer. The season was dedicated to her soon after she passed away. Kraft did a similar salute to his late wife after he received the Lamar Hunt Trophy, blowing a kiss to heaven after touching his MHK pin.

Showtime: We might see the full portfolio of Ray Lewis Old Spice commercials. It’s a great scent for a body wash he’s pitching for what it’s worth.

Don’t buy it when the Baltimore Ravens say they put the week 4 loss behind them. LB Ray Lewis avoided talking about it by saying it was in the past, but it’s on his mind.

Chances: Even

Baltimore – I’m sure LB Ray Lewis and the Ravens defense haven’t forgotten the week 4 loss that they attribute to favorable calls from the referees. Maybe if receiver Mark Clayton caught that pass for a first down, B-more wouldn’t have something to whine about. Chances: Even

ILB Bart Scott took his business elsewhere to get out of ILB Ray Lewis’ shadow. S Jim Leonhard pairs with another Pro Bowl-caliber safety, exchanging Ed Reed for Kerry Rhodes.

Losing quality players on one side of the ball oftentimes cripples the unit. So far, Baltimore’s defense is down from first overall last year to seventh this year, meaning there’s more to the defense than the losses.

On Saturday night, the Cowboys had a golden opportunity to close out Texas Stadium in style.  This was the final game to be played at the stadium.  A Cowboys win would have been a fitting end to a stadium that has had many classic games.  A win, and the Cowboys would have been one step further in their quest for a playoff berth, and a Super Bowl run.

Each week, on Friday, I will look into my (never wrong, just misinformed) crystal ball and give my predictions for that weekend’s games.  I will always prognosticate on the Eagles and Cowboys games and then pick two or more games of interest (to me, that is, not necessarily to you).  Keep in mind, that this is for entertainment purposes only, and that I do not endorse any sort of legal or illegal gambling.  That being said…let’s see what’s in my crystal ball!
