This could be Harvey’s make or break season as the Jags already gave up on draft classmate Quentin Groves, as he was traded to Oakland during the 2010 NFL Draft. 

Like I said, Cunningham’s career isn’t guaranteed to be like the career of those that came before him. Even though head coach Bill Belichick had little success draft OLBs, I put my trust in Belichick and his scouting staff.

Who would be available at 31st overall? A short list off the top of my head would include LBs Quentin Groves, Jerod Mayo, and Curtis Lofton; WRs DeSean Jackson, Mario Manningham, Andre Caldwell, and Early Doucet; CBs Brandon Flowers, Reggie Smith and Antoine Cason; S DaJuan Morgan. Any of these players would become a starter for the Pats with just one year of situational play.

In today's Boston Globe, they reported New England worked out Auburn's Quentin Groves. He's a former defensive end that moved to outside linebacker for the Tigers and is rated by The Sporting News as the second best outside linebacker in this year draft and is considered by many as the best pure pass rusher.

The other possibility is the Pats trade down and nab Auburn's Quentin Groves. He too would play OLB in the Patriots' defensive scheme and cost the team much less, which is always on the mind of the front office. Though Groves' numbers reflect that his production took a step back, it's hard to ignore his measurables.
