Alright we're back from breakfast and we're feeling much better. The Patriots have made two more picks QB Kevin O'Connell and CB Jonathan Wilhite. I'm sure many citizen of Patriots nation are up in arms over the selection of Kevin O'Connell but personally I like the pick. As Mike Mayock just said on Nfl Network this is a great pick and an example of the Patriots thinking ahead of the curve. O'Connell is a raw prospect and with a couple years behind Tom Brady he could be ready to step in or be traded for a high value pick. Everything I'm reading about O'Connell makes him sound really intriguing.
New England Patriots Draft

Despite a minor hangover I rallied from the bed to the couch this morning at 7am and of course the Pats traded away their first of three third round picks. Luckily it was only a short wait until the picked up an OLB Shawn Crable from Michigan. As soon as I get some chow in me I'll look into him but upon initial analysis I like what the Pats have done so far. I don't understand the fans who are complaining about the players the Patriots have selected so far. What the hell do we the fans know? What ESPN and bs mock craps tell us? I'm still drinking the Bill Belichick Kool Aid and so far the Pats have picked up players at the three positions they needed them the most.

The big day is finally here! So far this morning the internets have been a flurry of activity. We'll be checking in throughout the day. But as I said yesterday there will be alcohol involved so no promises as to how much posting will be done or how many typos there will be. Pat Kirwan, someone I trust more than anyone else when it comes to NFl info, has the Pats trading up to #5 to get Vernon Gholston is his last mock draft. Gholston has been slipping down a lot of boards and some are now labelling him a "workout warrior" so we'll see if the Pats like him that much that they want to move up to get him. Personally I don't think they will. There's too many good players to be had in the middle of round one thru the end of round two. That's where the Pats want to be. Alright, off to finish off the prep for today's cooking. The menu:

I came across this site in my travels around the internets looking for all things Patriots. This guy compiles numerous mock drafts into a database and shows who everyone has the Patriots picking. This will be a useful tool with the combine starting up the end of this week.
