Head coach Bill Belichick, while expressing how difficult the decisions were, still released safety Lawyer Milloy, traded linebacker Mike Vrabel, and already replaced safety Rodney Harrision well before Harrision announced his retirement.

ck has a fondness for linebackers that he holds on for too long? Because he didn't hesitate with SS Lawyer Milloy when he found a player he liked better. Nor did he waste time telling Bruce Armstrong that his days were done. But it's been a different story with linebackers.

Head coach Bill Belichick said the decision to cut Milloy was the toughest move he had to make. Within the next couple of days, Belichick will make another move he's not looking forward to: placing Harrison on injured reserve.
