Jerricho Cotchery
1 September 2010
That’s followed by the New York Jets’ Braylon Edwards and Jerricho Cotchery, and later Santonio Holmes for the December rematch. They will also have to deal with Miami’s Brandon Marshall twice, Detroit’s Calvin Johnson, Baltimore’s Anquan Boldin, and two top six passing offenses from last year in Houston (6th) and Green Bay (2nd).

With momentum on the Jets’ side, QB Mark Sanchez threw a 29-yard touchdown to WR Jerricho Cotchery to close within 10 in the third quarter.
CBS put up an interesting statistic during the game. From 2002-08, the Patriots were 66-1 when leading at halftime. This year the Pats are 6-3. Obviously they have problems closing out games.

arterback dropped back in the pocket with six minutes left in the second quarter, he thought he had Jerricho Cotchery open on an out route. With little hesitation, he gunned the ball in the direction of his top receiver and watched it go for six. Unfortunately, for Clemens and Jets fans, those six points belonged to the opposing team, the Dallas Cowboys. Cornerback Terence Newman easily undercut the route and used his world-class speed to return the pass 50 yards down the sideline for his first touchdown of the season. Broken and overmatched, the Jets would lose the contest 34-3.

WRs Laveranues Coles and Jerricho Cotchery are good receivers, but don't equal the group of pass catchers Favre left behind in Green Bay. The Jets defeinitely don't have the depth to match the Packers' corps.
