Dom Capers
16 February 2009
Green Bay committed to the change as Dom Capers arrives as the new defensive coordinator. Already DE Aaron Kampman said he will switch from DE to OLB. Another team that is probable to change is the Denver Broncos now that Josh McDaniels is running the show. DE Jarvis Moss might be tailor-made to make the switch to OLB, but Denver has a lot of work to do before they have all the players in place to make a 3-4 work.

be the defensive coordinator because the Pats currently have Dean Pees as defensive coordinator and Dom Capers as a special assistant/secondary coach, but I want Crennel's hands back and involved in the day-to-day coaching and preparation of the defense.

o Bowl level of play. Put O'Neal in a veteran locker room with coaches Bill Belichick and Dom Capers, two of the best at coaching the secondary, and you'd have to like the chances of O'Neal bouncing back.

an do the same with the 2008 secondary.
My confidence in the coaches springs from the addition of Dom Capers as secondary coach. He was the defensive coordinator of the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1992-94 and made it a dominant force. The "Blitzburgh" defense finished third and second overall in Capers final two seasons and was the backbone for a team that reached the AFC Championship. Capers will get the best out of the secondary as well as the linebackers in coverage.
