Since fans had the final word, the selections have been WR Stanley Morgan, TE Ben Coates, RB Jim Nance, and Cunningham, players that have yards and touchdowns to make their case for selection.

He would be the first Patriots tight end to be selected for the Pro Bowl since Ben Coates.
OK, so there’s no mystery that I’m referring to Ben Watson. I have to work on my foreshadowing.

Joining the ranks was Ben Coates, the massive pass catcher that raised the bar for tight ends. He dominated the position before the likes of Tony Gonzalez, Todd Heap, and Dallas Clark. The big difference between Coates and many of today's premiere tight ends is Coates was also a powerful blocker.

ts.com, fans can vote for the newest member of the upcoming Patriots Hall of Fame between tight end Ben Coates, running back Jim Nance, and center Jon Morris. In a few years time, linebacker Willie McGinest could be debated for the honor.
