Many Patriot fans were happy to hear DT Albert Haynesworth was released on Monday. The big slug was a waste of space and wasn’t worth the 2013 fifth round draft pick head coach Bill Belichick traded for Haynesworth-less.

Haynes(worth) His Way: With one lawsuit behind him, Albert Haynesworth was back in action at practice. Hopefully he gets a chance to unleash his destructive force in a game.

Albert Haynesworth.
I don’t want him.
I wasn’t a fan of the trade when I learned of it last Thursday because he slouched for two years in Washington after banking $41 million from the Redskins. The second year as Haynesworth warred with ‘Skins head coach Mike Shanahan really turned me off.

Its recently been brought to my attention that, over the past couple of weeks or so, my readership has doubled from 2 to 4. Thanks to these good natured and sympathetic followers, I’m left to wrestle with a serious question: Do I quit while on top (never had I anticipated the blog becoming this great a success), or do I continue to dribble out these “bi-weekly” blunderbusses, even though there is likely nowhere to go from here but down?

Tom Brady – While the hit Brady took from Washington DT Albert Haynesworth looked bad, by how Brady was moving his arm on the sideline makes me believe his shoulder truly is just sore. I really would had liked to see how Tom bounced back after taking that hit, but can understand why the coaches pulled him from the game. Brady overall did play well. He even moved around in the pocket to buy time a couple of times.

Hold the line: Opposing teams had their way on the ground after two games. New England is giving up 144 yards per game at a 4.7 yards per carry clip. Calling that unacceptable is a major understatement. Whether it was the starting unit or the back-ups victimized, or the 4-3 or 3-4, the Pats have to improve dramatically at defending the run. They may see RBs Clinton Portis and Laddell Betts, a very good 1-2 backfield combination.

Ironically on the 4th and 3 play, Titans star defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth was injured when his left leg was caught under the pile. A few of the Titans players said the Texans acted a little harsh during Haynesworth's injury. Why is this ironic? Because Haynesworth was the same player that had 'suspicious' hits against Texans quarterback Matt Schaub before last season in the same stadium! (Reliant Stadium). Official diagnosis of Haynesworth's injury has not been released, but the replay was not too pretty. Titans will need him by their first playoff game!
