1. I have to take a moment and pay respect to Al Davis. The legendary Oakland Raiders owner passed away on Saturday. Born in Brockton, MA, the rebel and leader of the Silver and Black was a steward of the AFL and helped form the modern day NFL. The Patriots held a moment of silence before the game to honor Davis. The league lost an icon.

It would be very ironic if Sulak signs with the Patriots because he was selected by Oakland with a pick New England gave to the Raiders to move up in the second round to select DT Ron Brace! Sulak was drafted 199th overall. That’s a lucky number in these parts. If Sulak is half the player Tom Brady became, Stryker is a monumental steal!

The crystal ball was two up and two down for the week. Even though that is an improvement, it still doesn’t cut it! Good thing this is for entertainment purposes only…or I would be in the poor house! Let’s take a look back and see what happened:

Al Davis, in one of his many “brilliant” moves, has fired another head coach…we should have seen it coming…it’s his M.O. Every couple of years he changes the head coach and forgets to look in the mirror…he is the problem! Kiffin, who has never been a Head Coach before, was given 20 games (5-15) to prove himself. When Davis hired Kiffin, he was 31 years old…barely older than many of his players. If Big Al wanted a quick fix, then perhaps he should have hired someone like Bill Parcells, Brian Billick, Bill Cowher, you get the idea…someone with experience!
