Great. The Jets have bragging rights until they meet again in November. That’s a lot of time to bark.
Time vs. Frequency: People thought what really mattered last week was that the pass rush showed up when the team needed it. The Jets what happens when a team gets pressure all game long instead of just at the end of the game. I barely saw DE Derrick Burgess in the first half and didn’t see DE Tully Banta-Cain until the second half. They are supposedly the best pass rushers on the team. How many snaps did they get and when?
Keller Killer: Speedy second year TE Dustin Keller burned the Pats again, catching three passes, including the game’s only touchdown. Can anyone on the team cover him?
Played like D.O.G.s : Three of four delay of game penalties when the offense had the ball, and three of four holding penalties on the offense. That’s six of eleven penalties, nine when New England had the ball. The Pats beat themselves almost as much as the Jets beat them.
Well Lit: Was it just me, or did New York go after CB Jonathan Wilhite in the second half? A lot of the passing yards in the second half seemingly came at his expense.
Grow Up Quick: DT Ron Brace and WR Julian Edelman got their names in the statistics book today. No time to bring them up slowly.
Banded Together: Maybe it was a product of running a no-huddle on offense, but several players had their own wrist bands with the plays listed. At least twice WR Randy Moss corrected the alignment of teammates.
