Pick Six: Preseason Game 4

Big Blue Bullies – New York played the starting offense for one drive and the starting defense for almost a quarter, and it showed. It doesn’t prove much going against third stringers.

Everybody Pat Chung Tonight – The second round pick was targeted early on and he gave up two touchdowns. Hard lessons, but he could be better in the long run.

Practice Squad Pass Terrance Nunn might had worked his way to the reserve unit after a strong game.

Oh yeah, Hoyer! – Brian might have played his way off the practice squad and into the emergency QB roll.

Run out the Clock – Yeah it’s the third unit, but gaining yards on the ground late in games will go a long way towards converting late leads into wins. Hopefully the starting offensive line can execute just as well.

Sad Sack – The pass rush struggled all night. Unless it was a blitz, no one was able to beat a blocker-one-on-one. OLBs Pierre Woods and Rob Ninkovich were disappointing. It’s a bad sign of a lack of potential at the position.

Two Points – Sam Aiken won’t get on the field with the offense often, but he did shine; LB Paris Lenon might had done enough to earn a roster spot as he played inside.
