The Biggest Game of the Year That Doesn't Involve Playing!

People keep talking about this sporting even that went down on Sunday; I honestly have no idea what they're talking about. There must've been some intense tennis match or something.

Anyway, it's the time of year that all football fans are looking forward to. What you plan your year around, that's right! The NFL Draft!

And thanks to the generous people over at the San Francisco 49ers organization, the New England Patriots have the 7th pick of the draft. It's like Bill Gates receiving welfare checks.

Since we're looking at such wonderful prospects, let's look at what the Pats need in terms of immediate help:

QB, WR (multiple), DL, Old Linebacker....

I mean: Right Tackle, Safety/Cornerback depth (depending on status of Harrison and Samuel), and youth at LB

I'm gonna say this right now. I don't like Nick Kaczur. No, let me rephrase that. I HATE Nick Kaczur. It's nothing personal against the man; her could be the nicest guy in the world. But I'm tired of this:

Oh that's right Kaczur, I don't what your Toledo behind does off the field. The Pats need a guy that can block Michael Strahan, who's in his mid-30's by the way.

If the Pats can get Jake Long out of Michigan, they'll have a future hall of fame tackle for 10 years. Ryan Glady, Boise State? Someone that can block finesse rushers. Sam Baker, USC? Fine tackle out of a pro-style college offense. Gosder Cherilus? A BC boy that's a mauler at Right tackler.

Belichick's never been one to draft line backers (never one before the fifth round) and the defensive backfield mighthold together. But whatever happens. Please, Bill. Get someone that'll keep Brady out of a boot.

Keywords: 2008 NFL Draft, Nick Kaczur, Patriots
