So I haven't really been the most proficient Pats blogger lately and I apologize to the four people who actually click here from time to time. The combination of a baby coming in 13 days and madness at the day job have kind of held me back. And to be honest, it's too easy to get caught up in the hype of preseason and I am trying not to feed into that. The Pats will be fine. Anyway, here are some catch-up links...
As I state constantly Cold Hard Football Facts is the best site for NFL analysis on the web and this article only makes me love them more. Statistically the 2007 Patriots were the most dominant team in NFL history. Sure it came to a horrible end but that has to count for something. I think eventually the 2007 season will be a solid feather in the cap of the Patriots dynasty, even if it didn't end with a Super Bowl win.
Here's an interesting article from Newsday, though the Pats actually have not been in pads for every single practice, only 90% of them. The Patriots adopt the personality of their coach, and that is singular focus on the moment, getting better at every chance and never getting ahead of themselves. While the media might hate Belichick because he doesn't speculate about things outside of his focus, it is that very quality that makes the Patriots so good year in and year out, despite the personell.
The Pats signed veteran center/guard Mike Flynn today and while it may be a sign that injuries to Russ Hochstein and Stephen Neal might not allow them to be back for opening day, it's good to know we've got a veteran in there and not the fourth man on the depth chart.
