Well yesteday was quite joyous to see the Pats back on the field, beginning their quest for Super Bowl 43 in Tampa. Also caught Dark Knight last night and it thoroughly lived up to the hype. I will have to see it again in Imax.
Practice starts a little later today, though we've already had Belichick's press conference. It's pretty clear that two high-round draft picks have a lot expected of them this year: The Chad and Meriweather. There were some reports that Chad wasn't on the same page as Brady yesterday. It's early so don't jump down his throat just yet. Meriweather on the other hand had an interception.
Off-Season award winners are up. No Brady for the first time ever I think, that's cool. Let Tommy get away from it all and come back refreshed. I'm really not too worried about it. Very happy to see Sammy Morris on there. I think he'll remind people why he was outrushing Maroney until he got hurt last year.
Jason Webster was a top performer yesterday according to Paul Perrillo of PFW. That's good to hear, the Pats need cornerbacks.
Yesterday I said the PFW blog had the best practice blog but it looks like they dropped the ball yet again in the late practice by having their battery die and thus couldn't update us. Day One of Training Camp and their battery dies. Great preparation guys. They had to turn off the comments section and delete everything that had been posted below their post that they had "no juice". Luckily I got a look at the comments before they were deleted and every single one pointed out that this is a pattern with these guys.
I apreciate the hard work of live blogging from practice but seriously how hard is it to buy a couple back up batteries? If it hadn't happened multiple times last year I wouldn't be pointing it out. You'd think since they actually work for the Patriots this kind of stuff wouldn't happen.
