Mayo... I like it...

Well the rumors were true. I thought the mention of Mayo as the Pats guy was a smoke screen but clearly Michael Holley of WEEI in Boston knows his stuff. Now that the Pats have taken a young linebacker in the first round for the first time since BB's reign began the expectations on young Mayo will be high. Can he immediately contribute? How does he stack up against 4th year Pats ILB Eric Alexander. It will be interesting to see. I bet the majority of  Pats fans are happy with the selection. There were two distinctive camps in Patriot nation. Those who wanted a cornerback and those who wanted a linebacker. Those of us who predicted an O-lineman were assuming the Pats would do something unexpected. In the end they drafted a guy at a position they probably needed most.
