Just had to post this Mock Crap from the LA Times in which Sam Farmer has the Patriots and Jets SWAPPING THEIR FIRST ROUND PICKS. Why in a million year would the Pats or the Jets ever do this? I can imagine that phone call:
"Hey Tannenbaum, it's Scott Pioli. I know we basically hate eachother and our franchises are bitter rivals, especially after the whole Spygate thing you rat bastard, but we really want Vernon Gholston and we don't want you to have him so what do you say we throw in some lower round picks and you let us move up and take him? McKelvin will still be there, I swear to G."
"Oh hey Scott, yeah you know I will probably lose my job if we don't do something to close the gap between our franchises you cheating bastard and allowing you to get a player you really want who would be just as good a fit in our defense as yours will probably haunt me for as long as I'm here but what the hay, that sounds like a great deal that's just crazy enough to work!"
This is just another example for how utterly clueless and pointless mock drafts are. Clearly you don't need any football knowledge whatsoever to get one printed in a paper like the L.A. Times. I guess we can't hold it against Farmer since L.A. hasn't had a pro football team since the 90's.
