Monday Patriots Linkage

Draft week is finally here! This of course will make the week drag by slower than ever but at least the end is in sight. The real job has been quite slammed this morning so the links are a little late but it seems like there's somewhat of a news blackout surrounding the NFL as everyone prepares for the big weekend. We'll plan on having some fun stuff and links up later in the week to maximize everyone's draft viewing experience. We're also hoping to be live blogging through most of the first round, more to come on that as the week progresses. Until then, the linkage:

The Providence Journal has a look at BB and SP's favorite players to draft: Lineman and Tight Ends. Surely there will be at least a couple more of those this year. Potentially including the 7th overall pick.

The New York Daily News takes a look at how the Patriots/Jets rivalry has played out over the years on draft day. This weekend will be no different as the Jets pick just before the Pats.

Mike Reiss talks to Larry Izzo. Izzo's the captain of the Pats special teams and one of the more underrated resignings of this off-season.

Michael Lombardi of SI.com has a great article on how Bill Belichick approaches the draft.

Peter King takes a mock crap all over us in his MMQB. He's got the Pats getting Vernon Gholston. While I find this most unlikely that the Man-Beast would slip all the way to #7 I'd welcome him with open arms.
