Birthday boy Bill Belichick spoke to the press this morning regarding the draft. As expected he played it pretty close to the vest. You can read Mike Reiss recap here or for those of you who have the time and the lack of an employer who monitors your internet usage here's the video of it.
After watching various draft specials yesterday I'm kind of sick of all the outrage at how easy the Patriots schedule is for 2008. First, their opponents for this season were determined back in 2001 and second, it's not their fault the Dolphins suck.
There are some comical predictions going around Pats messageboards like www.patsfans.com about when the next dose of media outrage over the Assistant Golf Pro will happen. I'd say the safe bet would be immediately following the draft next weekend. Once the draft dust settles it will be time for another round of "Why Hasn't Matt Walsh Spoken to the NFL Yet?". Whoops I mentioned him by name. I pray to Belichick that we hear what he does or does not know by training camp. If this a-hole ruins any part of the 2008 season for me I'm flying to Hawaii to beat him myself.
The Patriots still have more nationally televised games that the Giants. Ha Ha.
