Thursday Patriots Linkage

Happy Thursday all. We're about to cross the T-Minus 2 Week mark until the NFL Draft and personally I'm ready for it to just be here. Here's some linkage from around the internets:

Mike Reiss has a piece about the impact of the Jets signing Kerry Rhodes to a long term extension could have on the draft. It could make the Jets more likely to trade down which could be good or bad for the Patriots depending on who would jump ahead of them. A team that wants Matt Ryan = good, a team that wants Vernon Gholston = bad.

Scouts Inc. reranks the 2005 draft class with the Patriots now receiving a B+. Most notable is Nick Kaczur (who many are calling for to be replaced by a high draft pick this year) moving up from a 3rd round pick to a 1st round grade. From the 2005 draft class the Pats got four starters: Logan Mankins, Kaczur, Ellis Hobbs and James Sanders, I'd have to call that an A draft.

The Patriots were in South Park's crosshairs last night. I consider myself as big an SP fan as anyone and my jaw dropped when Mr. Cartmanez (watch the ep and you'll understand) pulled out the picture of Beeell Beeeelichick. I'm not quite sure how accurate Spygate is as an example of racial bias in this country but I guess us Pats fans better get used to it. Embrace the Hate in '08!
