Joe Testa's New England Patriots Fan Profile

I am a middle aged (I plan to live to the age of 108), long haired, tattooed former accountant, currently a bartender (much more fun), who worships football and lives for Patriots supremacy. Been a fan since the age of ten, when Jim Brown ignited my passion with his weekly Superman act. My love of football eventually led to a devotion to THE PATS.

I love the insanity of football and the combination of violence and grace. The short season, with your team playing one game a week, makes it intense. But more than that it represents an escape from life’s tediousness; as a fan you can go completely insane for brief periods and forget about the negative balance in your checking account or your non-existent love life.

Football is addictive and delicious and I will NEVER enter a twelve step program to rid me of this obsession.
